Our Mission and Purpose

Why do we do this?

Justice Adda works  towards transforming the relationship  people have with the justice system. The justice system is  usually thought of as complex, distant,  overwhelming and intimidating. Our endeavour is to empower people  to  use the law  for their well-being.

How do we do this?

Through the process of  co-production,  iteration  and applying principles of design justice, our interventions seek to identify and reduce  barriers people face to access justice,  and provide them with strategies to  resolve unmet legal needs. We believe that this can foster greater engagement and trust in the legal system, creating better individual and social outcomes.

What do we do?

We strive to make information about laws and the justice system thought provoking, playful, and understandable. Our projects are open access and  multilingual - available in  multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Malayalam, Bengali, and Kannada making our resources  accessible to especially those who may not engage with English content.

We aim to bridge knowledge gaps, engage people and communities with socio-legal issues and tools in a language and format that feels familiar and relatable.
