Justice Adda announces the release of our recent report "Legal Aid in India: Between Practice and Promise for the Future", published by Eastern Book Company, one of India's largest legal publishers. This report lays out the current architecture and ideas for the design of an effective model for legal aid in India. It provides theoretical and practical approaches that can be used by judges, lawyers, universities, researchers, legal services authorities and the government, to develop strategies to tackle barriers for effective access to legal aid. We draw on comparative legal scholarship and innovations being introduced around the world to suggest the path for reform of India's legal aid system. The report is indexed on SCC Online®.
