GOA SPATIAL PLANNING COURSE
The Goa Spatial Planning course was conducted as a four-week certificate program at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law in collaboration with Act for Goa and the Goan Philosophical Society. The course was designed to explore how land, law, and development intersect and how these decisions shape Goa’s environment and communities.
Over four weeks, participants engaged with the foundational principles of spatial planning, the use of natural resources, economic planning, and the legal frameworks governing development in the state. These themes were explored through lectures, conversational circles (satsangs), panel discussions, and interactive learning activities, creating space for dialogue, reflection, and critical thinking.
As part of the course, participants shared their responses through creative templates, reflecting their perspectives, questions, and ideas. This Goa Spatial Planning Report is an outcome of that process. It brings together these creative responses, offering a collective glimpse into how spatial planning is understood and reimagined by young learners and inviting readers to engage more critically with Goa’s evolving landscape.
